Name: Cathy Bonang
City/State: Warwick, Rhode Island
# Years Riding: 3
Equipment: Brenter 96 (Pink)
Favorite Riding Area: Cranmore, Loon
Comments: Started riding with Joey, just so he wouldn’t be the only one out there, I truly didn’t think I would stick with it. Now I love it! I was much more timid on skis - I actually have no fear on the bike. I’ve definitely challenged myself (I’m only 5ft and weigh less than 100#. I’m the voice when we travel to new resorts that don’t allow us - so far my charms have worked.

Favorite Riding Area: Golf course at night

Comments: I built a strange bike out of a pair of racing skis and a rowing machine. I was still recovering from ACL surgery and couldn’t snowboard. I was busted by a cop in a park at night. He thought it was so cool he let me do one more run so he could watch. I’m going to buy a real machine. Looking for others in L.A. Area.

Date: January 02

Name: Rick Tracy

City/State: Groveland, MA

# Years Riding: One season back in the 70‘s

Equipment: Looking

Favorite Riding Area: Bradford Ski Area if they allow skibikes

Comments: Off and on since the 70‘s I have been trying to find a skibob to buy but very few people in the stores know what they are. Besides, there seems to be few hills that allow them in MA. The allowance of snowboards at many hills will help the skibobs in the near future.

Name: Michael David Coulson

City/State: Alpine, UT

# Years Riding: 5

Equipment: Porsche 212, Brenter Comodore, Shush-Ski-Bob,

carving sledges and snow toys.

Favorite Riding Area: Park City, Brighton, Mountain Dell,

Alpine Hill, Tibble Fork.

Comments: I collect and ride many kinds of ski-bobs. I am an industrial designer and inventor and love patent searching, prototypes, advertising and memorabilia for any and all gravity snow machines. I would love to communicate with anyone on the history and future design aspects of skibikes or any gravity snow device.

Date: January 02

Name: Jeff Crocker

City/State: Kalispell, MT

# Years Riding: 2

Equipment: Vertex

Favorite Riding Area: Blacktail

Comments: I am 52 years old and have skied for 42 years. I raced in high school, taught skiing in college and for 7 years after. Two years ago I had to either quit skiing or find an alternative due to deteriorating knee injury problems. Surfing the net, I came across a site on “skibobs” and found the answer to my future “ski-life”. Skibiking has allowed me to continue in skiing in spite of my physical limitations! I feel like a kid! I can’t wait to skibike every weekend! I’ve really got the bug! I can’t get enough of this sport. I’ve rediscovered the thrill of “powder skiing”. I really wasn’t that great in powder. But now, I can keep up with the best of them. Skibikes are made for powder runs. Both of our local ski areas allow skibikes. One of them started a rental program this year. I think skibiking is the new frontier. I think it will catch on like snowboarding did. “Vive La Skibike!”

Favorite Riding Area: Nothing yet

Comments: I’m 68 years young, just retired last year, and still very athletic but concerned about my knees and joints if I learn to ski “normally”. This sounds like just the “vehicle” to get my wife and I onto the slopes.
