In 1971, the American Skibob Instructors Association (A.S.I.A) was organized with the cooperation of the United States Skibob Federation (USSBF). The primary mission was to properly educate the public and certify instructors in the Skibob sport. The result of these efforts was the "Check Out" instructional program outlined below.
